Join us for 'If Porsches Could Talk - The 936 at 50' at LeMay - America's Car Museum in Tacoma on May 17th from 11AM to Noon
Jay Gillotti will present 'If Porsches Could Talk - The 936 at 50'. Porsche Club of America (PCA) Historian Jay Gillotti will present the history of the remarkably successful Porsche 936. Although less well known than its older (917) and younger (956/962) cousins, the 936 achieved a remarkable record, winning the World Sports Car Championship and three 24 Hours of Le Mans races.
The 936 is also one of the rarest of all Porsche racing cars. In this presentation, Jay will cover the design and development plus the racing history of the 936 along with some perspective on a colorful period of sports car and endurance racing. The presentation will also briefly review the chassis histories of the five 936s built and preview Jay's forthcoming book on the 936.
This will be an interactive session with plenty of time for questions from the audience.
