Join us for the Columbia River tour from Friday June 19 to Sunday, June 21

Join us for an early summer weekend tour down to and along the beautiful Columbia River. Friday’s drive will take us down to The Dalles, OR and Cousin’s Country Inn where we have a block of rooms set aside for our group. Reservation details are on MotorsportReg.com (MSR). You can stay elsewhere if you wish, but it will be hard to beat the price. Go to the MSR registration page for full hotel information.
Saturday, we will take a drive above the river then back down into Hood River where we will visit “Becker 6”, where Steve Becker rebuilds/restores Porsche race and “regular” air cooled engines. If you attended the the PNWR Tech Session with Wade Carter’s Porsche 962 race car at Chris’s German Auto last year, Steve rebuilt that engine and was there at the tech session. This will be your chance to talk to Steve in more detail and view his shop in Hood River, OR.
Just a mile from Steve’s shop is the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) where they build and restore cars and planes from the ‘20’s and ‘30’s. Take a trip back in time! See the MSR registrarion for more information
From there we will cross back into Washington for some scenic, winding roads, ending up at the Maryhill Winery overlooking the Columbia River. The driving part of the tour ends there, but you can grab a light snack, sample some wine (remember you’re not on the tour for the rest of the day)..
Saturday night there will be a fixed price buffet dinner at Cousin’s Inn. There will be two separate seatings, one at 5:30 and another at 7:30. Choose which time you want during MSR registration. We will have to have about equal numbers for each time due to seating capacity. See the MSR registration for more information.
Sunday will possibly be another driving tour that gets everyone back to the hotel prior to checkout. Or you can choose to return home on your own. More details on the Sunday tour to follow as we get closer.
This promises to be a great weekend of driving and sightseeing!

across from McDonalds in the Auburn Outlet Collection Mall, 1304 Outlet Collection Way in Auburn.

Arrive between 8:00-8:20 AM, first cell; 8:40-9:00 for the second cell
Driver's meeting at 8:30 AM first cell; 9:10 second cell
First group departs at 9:00 AM, followed by other groups with 10 minutes spacing each.
Second cell departs at 9:40 with similar spacing.
Directions to start point
Take Hwy 167 north or south to the Auburn Outlet Collection Mall exit onto 15th St SW. Turn Left onto Outlet Collection Way at the first stoplight, then turn at the first right. McDonalds is on the right. Park across the street in your assigned groups.

Closes: June 15th at midnight for the tour.unless the tour sells out early--max of 60 cars. However, our Hotel registration block of rooms expires on May 19 (30 days prior). Hotel cancellation is 24 hours prior to event date.
