Join us for the Black Diamond Gimmick Rally on Saturday, May 18th
Registration opens on April 20 at 9:00 AM. Register early by clicking the "Register Here" box to avoid being placed on the waiting list or not being able to register if the tour sells out early!
Come join us for a different kind of driving adventure on the 2nd annual PNWR gimmick rally! Explore fun back roads and learn about the interesting history of coal mining in the pacific northwest as you tour through the “Issaquah Alps,” across river gorges, and along old railway line past abandoned mining ghost towns and historic landmarks all while answering clever clues along the way. Prizes for best scores will be awarded at the end!
Unlike group-based tours, each car will be released from the start separately and receive their own set of instructions which include driving directions, location-based historical facts, and clues for things to watch out for and answer while following along the tour. Designed to be family and/or partner friendly, total driving time should be around 3 hours (depending on your pace) with plenty of stops along the way. You MUST have a navigator to join the tour.
The rally starts at the parking lot behind Gilman Village. Coffee and food is available (on your own) at the nearby Issaquah Coffee Company. The rally ends with a group lunch and brief awards ceremony at Black Diamond Bakery.
