Join the Car Corral for Porsches and Parade Lap at the Pacific NW Historics – Vintage Auto Racing - July 4th & July 5th
First off, mea culpa. In 2025 the organization of the car corral and parade laps didn’t meet your or our standards. The car corral and parade laps are getting a great deal more time, energy, and volunteers this year, and we expect them to run much more smoothly.
The car corral and parade laps will again be a part of the Society of Vintage Racing ENthusiasts (SOVREN) 2026 Pacific Northwest Historics vintage auto racing event, at Pacific Raceways, 31001 144th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98042. Highway 18, 304th Street Exit, Kent.
This year’s Historics will feature cars of the 2.5 liter Trans Am Series. You’ll see lots of Datsun 510s, BMW 2002s, Alfa Romeo GTVs and more. To complement these great vintage race cars, Peter Brock, of Brock Racing Enterprises fame, will be in attendance.
A car corral consists of a designated show/parking area at race events, specifically for car clubs to part similar vehicles together. Participating in a car corral:
- permits prime trackside parking, with splendid views of the racing
- allow for sharing a weekend with fellow brand enthusiasts with an opportunity to socialize
- is limited to those cars who purchase a special car corral parking pass. The car corral ticket includes spectator admission for the driver, and an additional separate ticket is required for each passenger
- offers the opportunity to participate in parade laps
- each car corral driver receives a special goodie bag (complimentary program, dash plaque, and more) .One goodie bag per car entry.
Information about this year’s Historics, including details about car corral and parade laps, is at sovrenracing.org/pacific-northwest-historics
For this to run smoothly for all of us:
- BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE! There will be a limit of 250 cars in the car corral on each of Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is likely to sell out and there may not be any day-of car corral tickets available. If you do NOT have tickets, for both the car corral & driver, as well as spectator tickets for each passenger, you will need to park in general parking, then buy tickets. So we get you parked faster, the car corral entrance line will NOT be a ticket sales line.
- Show up early, before the rush. Gates open at 8 am.
- Follow directions to:
- Get parked
- Sign the release and pick up your wristband
- Be at the parade laps orientation session. Attendance at this meeting is MANDATORY in order to go out for parade laps.
- Line up for parade laps.
The better everyone does at following directions, the better the experience will be for you.
Consider Sunday. Sunday is also a full day of racing and fun, with car corral, parade laps, Peter Brock, vendor row, the paddock, etc.
Note: This is a non-club event.
